However, there is a snag that can throw anyone, as it threw me at first. Anyway, essentially, the procedure for v 3.2.3 is essentially the same as that for 2.1.4. That was when I posted on this forum, for ideas that would help. 3.2.3, I tried to install this in the same way as before.
I did this, and, after making little alterations (in CS6, the folders were a bit different), it worked (I am using a Mac, by the way). I had given up on ever installing it, but thankfully, a correspondent somewhere in this forum (the thread is over two years old, and I have since looked for it, and cannot find it) stated how manually to install GuideGuide 2.1.4. The xzp installer that it mentions failed, just as Adobe Extension Manager, to install GuideGuide.
I did consult the document (previously), and, although it is the official answer, it did not solve my problem.
